Applications are invited for the Bckminister Fuller Challenge for scientists, designers, architects, activists, planners, artists, entrepreneurs and ecologists around the world for ‘The Buckminster Fuller Challenge’ 2014.

The challenge is aimed at presentation of original ideas to tackle pressing global issues by a team of highly spirited and progressive people.

The prize for such a great task is up to $100,000 to support project and other ongoing projects.

Eligibility –

  • Entry must put forth an original idea that creatively addresses a critical need.
  • Entry must be comprehensive, anticipatory and ecologically responsible.
  • Entry must also be feasible, verifiable and replicable.
  • The entry initiative must put forward the powerful design solutions that have the potential to play a significant role in the transition to an equitable and sustainable future for all.

Prize -

  • $100,000 cash prize to support the on-going development and implementation of their winning solution
  • Round trip airfare for the team leader or representative (accommodations included) to receive the prize at a ceremony
  • The OmniOculi award sculpture
