Africa’s sensational writer Ngozi Chimamanda Adichie has added another feather to her cap as her book Americanah has been nominated as finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction in 2013!

The nomination of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel of race, love and power Americanah  is her first nomination in the year is also alongside American 51 year old Donna Tartt’s expansive third novel The Goldfinch, 61 years old American Professor Alice McDermott’s Someone, 63 years old Spanish Novelist Javier Marias’ The Infatuations and 58 years old Cannadian-American Ruth Ozeki’s A Tale for the Time Being.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie who is only 37 has been conquering the world with the power of her pen getting a total of 21 awards and nominations internationally since 2002.

The eventual winners of the award would be announced in March 2014.

She is one of the hardworking Africans who’re making Africa proud, a true source of inspiration and motivation for our dear Africa.
