Unemployment is one of the challenges facing today’s young people especially in Africa. Governments of various African countries have put several schemes in place tackle this challenge while remaining open to other methods that can be suggested for tackling unemployment. At the heart of youth advocacy for the Post-2015 Agenda is increased youth participation and reduction of youth unemployment; the Government of Botswana has instituted the ProjectSuccessBW Essay contest to get answers to the problem of unemployment from young people around the world.
Yong people from various countries are thereby requested to submit an essay answering the question “What are the priorities the Government of Botswana must focus on regarding the Employment of young people from the perspective of the Post-2015 Millennium Development Goal Agenda?”
- The winner of the essay competition will win BW5,000.00
- Top 10 individuals will be brought to Gaborone, Botswana to engage in further dialogue and produce a Position Paper in which presentations and submissions to the relevant authorities shall be made.
- Young people between the ages of 17 and 25 are invited to apply
- Applicants can be from any country in the world
Applicants are to a 500 words essay on the topic “What are the priorities the Government of Botswana must focus on regarding the Employment of young people from the perspective of the Post-2015 Millennium Development Goal Agenda?”
